Contest Rules

From Drab to Fab: Become London's Most Polished Professional

1.  One entry per person/email address. Entries may be submitted via emai to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or dropped off at: Saffron Road (577 Richmond St., London, ON), or Kingsmills (130 Dundas St., London, ON) or David E. White (171 Queens Ave., London, ON) or mailed to Polished Image, 195 Pinebrook Place, London, ON, N5X 4C6

2.  Each entry must include:

  •  a 150 word or less story describing why the person entering the contest deserves to become "London's Most Polished Professional".
  • a photo of the person who is entering the contest.  Photographs will not be returned.  Maximum image size should be 4x6. 
  • answers to the questions posted on the Polished Image website (www.polishedimage.ca) under "Contest Entry Form".

3.  All entries must be post-marked by September 24th, 2010.  Entries received past this date will not be considered for the contest.

4.  The selection process will be conducted fairly by a panel of judges with no discrimination towards sex, race or special needs.  The judges' decisions are final.

4.  Top 12 finalists (6 male, 6 female) will be listed on the Polished Image website (www.polishedimage.ca).  Their profiles will be posted and Londoners will be able to vote for who they believe should become "London's Most Polished Professional".  Top 12 finalists must also be available on October 14th between 5:00 and 8:00 pm to attend a special cocktail party at which time the winner will be announced.  The event will take place at The Morrissey House 359-361 Dundas Street at Waterloo St.

5.  Winners must be available to work on their image with Polished Image and the rest of the sponsors during the last two weeks of October. 

6.  Winners must agree to have a "before and after" picture taken of them.  All photographs taken of the contest winners by Polished Image (or their photographer) become the exclusive property of "Polished Image" and may be published on our website as well as in any of our promotional materials.  Photographs will not be sold to any company/individuals for profit.  Photographs will not be provided to any company and/or individual for use without consent by the winner.

7.  Winners must agree to be profiled in London Business Magazine after their image work has been completed.

8.  Polished Image staff as well as the staff of our sponsors are not allowed to participate in the contest.

9.  You must be 20 years of age or older to enter the contest and live within London and its immediate surrounding area (30 minutes or less)

10. You can nominate yourself, a friend, a co-worker or boss.  However, those being nominated must agree to the terms and conditions as stated above.

11.  You must be employed to enter the contest.
